Best d20 or OGL 3rd party games?

d20: Medieval Players Manual, Black Company, Testament, Northern Crown. If i had to pick one...I'd say Testament.

OGL: Iron Heroes, Conan. If I had to pick one - Conan, no question.

1) Ptolus
2) Arcana Evolved
3) Stargate SG1
4) Mutants & Masterminds
5) A Game of Thrones
6) Scarred Lands
7) Nyambe/Nothern Crown
8) Traveller (T20)
9) Dragonstar
10) Sidewinder: Recoiled

I'd pick Arcana Unearthed/Evolved. It's D&D with a few twists.

Next would be Conan. It's truly inspiring.

I'm also partial to Slaine. Even if it's a diamond in the rough ;).

Aye, I canna choose jus' one!

These three, each of which I bought my own copy :)

Midnight (v.2)
Arcana Evolved
Conan, Atlantean Ed.

Honorable mentions (which I also have bought):
Babylon 5
Traveller T20
Everquest (v.1)
Wilderlands

Castles & Crusades Player's Handbook 2nd printing.

OGL Conan would be the runner-up.

Slaine d20, Judge Dredd d20 and Traveller 20 all look nice but haven't inspired me to run campaigns.

Hi,

Skull & Bones, definitely. Some of the rules are a little bit clunky but it's been one of the most enjoyable games I've run -- see my sig for story hour link.

Cheers
