Any recommendations for a feat?
Just turned lvl 12 yesterday and looking for ideas. I have always a hard time to decide one feats.
I have Track, Iron Will, Create Infusion, Fly-by-Attack and Natural Spell.

Just tell your DM that since Druids are so overpowered in 3.5 that you aren't taking a feat. :)

Actually, Augment Summoning would be pretty good but you need Spell Focus first so lets go with spell focus(conjuration).
Your other choice would be Leadership.

Well, if I wanted to play such a character, I'd play a wizard or sorcerer (or rather a kineticist, but I don't use psionics, so that is not a valid option for me).

But that doesn't mean empowered Flame Strikes aren't good, they certainly are. :)

Well, sure... if you want d4 HD, suck BAB, a bad fort save and no skill points (wizard or keneticist makes up for this with int, though). And even for all that you still can't match the druid's firepower at thie level range until you can start tossing out empowered sonic substuted cones of cold at 13th (unless 3.5 added a 4th level high damage arcane AoE, but by the suggested damage caps it could be 10d6 if memory serves), and thoes aren't half as easy to place properly on the battle field.

HP and Fort save, ok, but what do you need BAB for, anyways? ;)

Sure, 4th level Flame Strikes are good, but they are still no match for the vast and totally superior arsenal of the above classes.

There might be an extremely narrow level range, at which druids come out on top (for this kind of stuff, in general they are pretty good, of course :)), but that simply isn't the case 90% of the time.

A maximized Flame Strike, for example is no match at all for an empowered Firebrand, unless the targets are completely immune to fire, but then you can still energy substitute it, as you said (tho, not to sonic damage in 3.5), and a character that is going this route is quite likely to have Energy Affinity (the kineticist can do this without even spending a feat, and he only needs a single 2nd level power to totally outmatch the druids Flame Strike at all levels, but they are ridiculously overpowered anyways ;)).

However, I just wouldn't want to play a druid evoker, as that would reduce the druid to a role he isn't particularily suited to fill. :)

Flame Strikes are a good way to deal some damage for them, but concentrating fully on that ability, doesn't suit them well, I think.

BAB, of course, is to support your touch spells (fire seeds, anyone?)

The main thing is, I don't see area d6/level damage spells as very usefull in 3rd mostly because of the con bonuses. Only once empowered do these spells really start to shine. And once the druid hits 11th they have a real advantage over a wiz or sor with empowered spells (moreso if 3.5 dosn't allow sonic substution, I only really use the new haste spell and monk, so I'm not sure). Wizards have an advantage for two levels, sorcerers for one when they can empower fireballs and lightnint bolts.

But, of course they also have a lot of other types of spells for combat. Druids just tend to outshine them for AoE blasting, IMHO.

Well, the sonic substitution can only really be answered in november, when Complete Arcane is out, but so far, there is only Energy Affinity (which does not allow sonic) and I guess it will find its way into CA. Doesn't make much sense to make yet another of these feats. ;)
