Best Names ever given to PC's Weapons

I had a Lawful Evil character who was later redeemed, a fighter/sorceror named Christian Kendall, whose chosen weapon was the heavy flail. The game was a homebrew one, with planar magic being outlawed, and Christian (being half-fire-elemental) had been summoned there by some mad wizard who had since met an untimely end thanks to Christian himself. I believe it was when Christian was talking to the Baron, that I ad-libbed this exchange:

Baron: "You carry that flail with you every time I've seen you; why do you use such a weapon?"
Christian: "It's served me well time and time again, not the least of which happened upon my arrival to this place."
Baron: "I remember hearing about it, yes. Summoned by a member of the Guild anxious to show off his new power, yes? But without the power to send you back to your homeland."
Christian: "That's it in a nutshell. Sadly, the man ran into a little accident."
Baron: *raised eyebrows*
Christian (lifting the flail and letting the head of it stretch down, clanging against the ground) "THIS is Accident."
Baron: "I... see."

I was very proud of having a spiked flail named Accident.

Lets see...

My halfelf rogue Hobin Kobad had a rapier named Darkspeed.

My dwarf rogue Smithy Goldpants had a battle axe named Polaris. Etched on the blade, it appears that a bear is leaping outwards from the shaft.

My orc rogue had a caber (not a sabre, but the big scotish tossing log) known simply as "Pain."

And my halfling fighter had two daggers called Feast and Famine.

But I will never forget my gnomish cleric and his undead-bane mace "Euthanizer." Whenever he killed undead, he would shout "You're too old!" It was funiest when he crit hitted the BBEG lich, ending the campain.

One of my PC's once named his +1 shortsword 'Elf Biter.'
I named a +1 Frost Longsword 'Ice Shard.' Pretty mundane name actually, but it gave the weapon just a little more personality.

So what have been the best or pretty different names the PCs in your group have given to their weapons ?

We see in books the usual fare of Splitters, Heartseekers and other assorted names. What has your group come up with ? (Remember to mention the name and maybe the reason for the name.)

In a game a played, a fighter/fragon disciple had a a greatsword he called "the Truth".

His mottos were " I have the Truth, the others have only arguments" and "Some people can´t handle the truth"

G'day

There was once a RuneQuest campaign in which I played a devout worshipper of Humakt, the God of Truth and Death. In the early part of the campaign my characer (whose name was Hermod) helped to persuade his clan to join in a rebellion against the Lunar Empire, and took part in the successful massacre of one of their provincial legions. Then, while he was away on a quest, a real Lunar legion came by on a retaliatory raid, and when Hermod got home home wasn't there. He resolved henceforth to think twice before he spoke, and never to persuade anyone to do anything. In time, he acquired an epithet, and became 'Hermod the Silent'.

Hermod's weapon was an enchanted iron basket-hilted broadsword. As a result of his long and usually painful adventures, it ended up with about Damage Boosting 10 on it, in addition to which Hermod used Bladesharp 5 fairly liberally, and had a d6 damage bonus. So the sword typically did d8 + d6 + 15 at about 125% chance to hit. People in Runequest have about 13 hit points. Hermod was a man people had heared of, and prayed never to meet.

The sword was called 'Whisper'.

"Hermod never speaks louder than a Whisper".

A while ago, my PCs found a greatclub. It is a +2 Merciful Greatclub that does 1d4 Cha damage per hit.

It is elegantly called the Ugly Stick. :D

You had an Ugly Stick too!?!?! I had a cleric in 1st edition who used a cudgel and consistently rolled critical hits (DM's own charts) and almost always hit people in the face, breaking noses, jaws, etc. After about the 5th time, we started calling it the Ugly Stick. :D

Lets see- there was the ranger in my campaign who killed his personal enemy the orc chieftain Gronkash with his warhammer which became "Gronker" from then on. I also have a high level cleric of St Cuthbert who is like a cross between the Rock and Shaft who uses a flanged mace called "The People's Judgement". Ok, yeah- that high level campaign is supposed to be silly. :D

Hookworm: A +2 Morningstar. No idea why the PC called it by this name.

WidowerMaker: +2 Keen Bastardsword with a bane against women.

Johnny Stab: +4 Dagger of Venom ("Allow me to introduce you to Johnny Stab")
