Thieves in the Forest isn't (i.e., it contains several encounters). It's a very well-organized adventure with suggestions for using the setting therein as a source of further adventures. The Unknown Armies crossover Ascension of the Magdalene was also very well organized with several great suggestions for bringing UA-style weirdness into D&D.

I like DCCs myself, but they also do the annoying -- to me -- thing of having monsters who are repeated over and over again in the module just in ONE place in the module, without even just restating AC, HP and BAB when they reappear. This is especially annoying in the Transmuter's Last Touch.
