Farscape (wipes tears from my eyes) it does not matter that the show was canned, it was the BEST!
I am so horribly biased towards Farscape that I simply tried to exclude it in general. I was torn as to the ending and the 4th season in general but I still adore everything about the show. I am still in complete shock that it was cancelled before the 5th season was made.

On a completely unrelated note: People haven't been all that wowed by the 24 finale. I have not seen a single ep of that show (or the first season). Will it be worth it to pick up the DVD's?

The second season of 24 was pretty good. I'm not sure which season was better, but you should definitely start with the first season before getting the second. After watching it, though, you'll probably get hooked and pick up season 2 as well. Although, I wonder if FX will show all of season 2 back to back, as they did for season 1 last year (I think it was Labor Day?).

The problem with the finale of 24 was that they built up a lot of expectations: pretty much everything is on the line, and the odds are really against the main character, Jack. Then, in the finale, it's like, "well, that wasn't nearly as impossible as they made it look like it would be."

Ah, sounds good. I've been going back and forth on picking up the Season 1 DVD's for a while now...

I know it got cancelled, but I really liked the finale of John Doe. To know that Digger was a bad guy really set up the next-but-not-gonna-happen season.

I forgot to mentioned in my previous post, but I really liked the season final of 24.

When I get the extra money I will get the DVD set.

My top three would have to be:
1) Angel
2) Smallville
3) Farscape

I was a bit disappointed with Buffy especially the first half. This past season makes me glad the series is over (especially since I was starting to fall asleep during some of them).

I thought that both "24" and "Enterprise" had very good season endings, namely because they both left me wanting to see the next episode. I also liked the way that "NYPD Blue" wrapped up.
Also enjoyed the final "Survivor".

I was not overly crazy about "Buffy", partially because I thought that the end of Season 5 was the perfect ending for the series.
Wasn't crazy about "ER" either. Didn't like the "Friends" finale. I stopped watching that show a while ago, as it is opposite Survivor and no longer worth taping, but since Survivor wrapped a week earlier I sat through it, and was reminded why I stopped watching it. Too predictable and the characters have now become caricatures of their former selves. Matthew Perry was expecially disappointing given his excellent performance on "West Wing".

Haven't seen "Smallville" yet, but plan to catch it on the rebroadcast tomorrow.
