Best Shows on DVD

Try "Coupling". Its a British show that airs here on BBC America and some PBS outlets. I believe its now available on DVD.

Its very very funny. And marvellously written.

I've picked up Sopranos Seasons 1-3 and Buffy 1-2, and will buy Buffy 3 when it comes out in January, and Angel when it eventually shows up.

I also own Kindred: The Embraced. Ahem.

I plan to pick up B5 as well, and TOS Trek if it ever comes out as reasonably-priced boxed sets rather than 35 $20 DVDs.

i almost forgot!

i really liked The Prisoner, even though the final episode was very...unusual

Mr "i am not a number, i'm free man!" Fidgit

be seeing you! :D

Can you rent these? I rented Soprano's, but never would even consider of ever buying them. I would not mind renting Buffy or some of the others.

Some places do, some don't. I've seen Sapranos's and Sex in the City for rent at a Blockbuster, but I've never really looked to rent any shows so there might be more.

Lets see....

Thus far...

Band of Brothers
Simpsons 1-2
Buffy 1-2
Stargate SG1 1-2
Highlander 1
Kindred: The Embraced

Sopranos are on my "to get sometime in the unspecified future" list, as are, of course, the rest of Simpsons, Buffy, Stargate, and Highlander. I already own all of ST:TNG on VHS, or I would be getting the DVDs, and I'd like to get some of X-Files too.

The Young Ones. I hadn't seen it or even thought of it for years, until I saw the set at Best Buy one day. I squealed in girlish delight and bought it lickity-damn-split. It's got every episode, it does!

Oh, and Mr. Show with Bob Odenkirk and David Cross is supa-hilarious. The set that's out now has seasons 1 and 2, with seasons 3 and 4 on the way. I'm tingling with anticipation just thinking of it.

The old Twilight Zone episodes are still on my to-get list. Good stuff.

I've caught up on Farscape Season 1 and Queer as Folk season 1. Blockbuster has Oz in stock by me, but I'm not really interested in that.
