I need help picking a spell for my 6th level conjurer. I have the feats Spell Focus: Conjuration, Greater Spell Focus: Conjuration, and Enspelled Summons (allowing me to cast a spell on a summoned creature at the same time I summon it, such as buffing spells--this is from Green Ronin's Plot & Poison drow book).

Please pick one and state your reason why or give me another spell if you think something else from 3rd level would be better, keeping in mind I already have bolt of conjuring, fly, spell haste (Kalamar Villain's Design Handbook) and summon monster III:
_________________________________________

1. Dispel Magic (an obvious, if unglamorous choice--I haven't run into many situations yet where this spell would be useful and haven't faced too many enemy spellcasters)

2. Haste (can be used on allies or summoned creatures as stated above for Enspelled Summons feat)

3. Ochre Cloud (from Kalamar Player's Guide---creates a 60 ft wide, 40 ft high debilitating cloud that saps 2d6 Strength from all inside (Fort DC 22 negates) each round they remain in radius. Those affected but who escape the cloud's radius have their Strength loss remain for 1d6 rounds after escaping)

Dispel Magic is a must. even if you havent encountered a lot of enemy spellcasters theirs just so many things its good for...many of which are hard to tackle by any other means especialy for a wizard.

Of course it depends on your campaign, but I tend to agree with Merlion - Dispel Magic is a must. This is because it is useful in so many different situations. This one spell will negate countless others. In the campaign I play in, my cleric/necromancer has two available third-level spell slots, and he almost always memorizes two dispel magics. They've saved the party many times - dispelling webs, grease, and charms, just to name a few.

Haste

Haste is absolutely a must....especially with that "whacked" feat Enspelled Summons you've managed to get.

If you had to pick two, go with Haste and Greater Magic Weapon.

Can't miss the munchkin spells, bucko.

Also from an RP standpoint, to me, it seems that generaly those who can use magic also usualy posses the ability to try to break the spells of others. This is represented by dispel magic
for 2 of the 3 I would say Dispel and Haste. Haste is going to still be an excellent spell even once its altered especialy for a Conjurer to use on summoned beings.

What on earth does bolt of conjuring do?

It is a medium ranged ray attack from Book of Eldritch Might that deals 1d4/caster level and in addition, attacks the target with a creature from the summon monster I list in the same round (which remains to continue its attack for 1 round/level)! :D

I got enspelled summons free by taking the Master Summoner PrC from Plot & Poison. So far, I've only been able to use crummy resistance cantrips (+1 to all saves) on my summoned critters cause I can't afford to use anything better thanks to cool spells/limited slots and the fact that I have none of the standard 2nd level buffing spells like bull's strength, cat's grace, or endurance... Shoot, maybe I should get cat's grace since most of the summoned monsters have a bad AC...
