Ack, didn't enable multiple choice on it.

Considering only two people voted so far, I don't think it matters. ;)

I finally got a chance to see some Enterprise episodes (they air late Fri or Sat night in syndication here) and, wow, they were bad. I did go out of my way to watch the finale. Now I know why people hate it so much. I didn't even like the show and it pissed me off. I can only imagine how the real fans felt.

It's worse than that - the rest of that season was considerably better than the rest of the show, and it ended with that... abonimation. :(

Yeah, Season 4 of Enterprise showed the potential the series had, and yes, in spite of B&B it had good moments throughout it run.

Anyway, I put in another vote for the Romulans. As one of the best Trek bad guys of all time, they deserve it. That's one of the reasons it's a shame Enterprise didn't last past Season 4, because the Romulans were starting to become a real threat, manipulating the Vulcans, Andorians, and Tellarites, and stirring up trouble.

What we need is a Best Overall Trek Antagonist thread which covers antagonists that were relevant over multiple series. It would give me another excuse to vote for the Romulans. :D

Amusingly enough, even though there's only 8 votes on this poll, I note that not a single vote went to either the Suliban or Xindi. In fact, had the space Nazis not gotten the 1 vote they have so far, nothing from the Temporal Cold War would have gotten a vote. Pretty telling, ain't it? ;)

I've just started watching the repeats (which are disjointed and all out of order) but have somewhat enjoyed what I have seen so far. I must admit I tried watching the series when it forst aired, but that first season was bad. I think the recent set of episodes I've been watching are mostly from season 4.

I put in a vote for the Andorians, because they were the best-developed in the series, even if they weren't 100% pure antagonists. But I suspect if they had managed to get the seven seasons that TNG, DS9, and VOY managed, the Romulans would have had my vote; it seemed like they were building up to the Earth-Romulan war that's been hinted at in non-cannon sources as being the driver for forming the Federation (the Tellarites and Andorians came in on Earth's side, and the Vulcans provided logistical support).

How are Rick Berman and Brannon Braga not on that list? They did more damage to Enterprise than anyone and made their presence known in every season. They especially crushed the crew *and* fans at home with their finale.

Chuck

I don't consider the Andorians antagonists anymore than I consider the Vulcans antagonists in Enterprise, generally speaking. It's too much of an on-again-off-again thing.

Orions got my vote.
