Best things done on the roll of a one.

I've had two grat 1's or rathe ra pair of them. I was a Bard in Sanctuary and I was getting a good reputation in the Bazaar so I decided to try to perform down in one of the Sailors bars to expand my patronage. I started in one a classic sailor ditty and rolled a nat 1. That sailors (and one of the other PCs who went there with me) throw tomatoes at me and then they throw me out. I tried to tumble after being thrown out and fumbled that roll as well.

Another time in a Star Wars game I was playing a retired Imperial soldier. We were trying to safe an alien diplomat from being captured. I was shooting at the guy trying to drag the alien away. I shott twice, fumbled twice, and hit the alien twice killing him. While everyone at the table knew it wasn't on purpose because they all saw the dice roll, in character they played it out as if I had done it one purpose. And truthfully, it was something my chaeracter would have, and almost decided to do.

I love how the 13th-level psion in my group can roll a 1 on his Spot check and still get a 31. I stopped putting points in Spot and Listen after adventuring with him for a couple weeks.

In a WEG Star Wars game I was in a ways back, this guy used to love playing Jedi. So he did something questionable, earned a dark side point, rolls a 1, proceeds to make a new Jedi.

This went on for... oh, a year or so, as he proceeded to send five Jedi down the path of the dark side. Every single time he got a DSP, he rolled a one. It was pretty amusing.

Dammit - that's twice!

We started a new campaign recently and in the very first battle, my dwarven ranger (with an 18 Strength) rolled a "1" on his second attack with his greatsword. He then rolled a "1" on his Dex check to not drop the weapon. Valiantly holding back his laughter, my kick-ass DM asked for a Strength check to see how far I threw it.

Naturally, that roll came up "20".

Hey, FR, you might want to change the color that you post in. It's difficult to read against black.

That's only if you actually want people to read what you wrote.
No no, green's fine.

not that its d20, and not that its very easy to read, and not that i recommend buying it, Hackmaster has a very elaborate (read: complicated) critical fumble chart...IIRC, its based off a d1000 roll. Thats right...d1000!!! I guess that might be a little more than U need...

ps. the critical Hit chart is the same way

Not good, but funny:

My halfling barbarian/rogue, Drogo Fallenleaf, attempted to leap over the attacking worg and backstab it. Instead, I rolled a one, and tripped over it and fell, and was ripped to shreds by the whole pack. :p
