Best way to kill a dragon?

I think the only real problem is counterspelling of the first WOF /CK and the possibility of teleporting (or similar) through the WOF. I wasn't sure if it was possible. Maybe some spells of the Book of Eldritch Might could be of some help at this point.

Spell Turning won't be useful as none of the spells is casted directly upon him.

Spell Turning works great on the cold rays though.

But yes, you can dispel the cloudkill and teleport/dimension door out or any number of other things.

A dimensional anchor would keep him in place or a teleport block. Cause the dragon doesn't have anything to actually take down or destroy the wall of force.

Try to make sure the dragon doesn't eat you after it kills you, or otherwise make you unrevivable. After your friends raise you, and you've gained another 5-10 levels, take another shot at the dragon. And bring your friends with you.

Shouldn't Otiluke's Freezing Sphere's sneak attack do double damage? the sneak attack does the same damage type that the spell does, which is cold damage. And the red dragon is fire subtype, meaning ALL cold damage dealt to him is doubled.
Is this correct? me confused

ENERVATION!!!!!

No spell resistant check and it is range touch. Hit with a few of these and lower his saves, to hits, and ability checks a few ticks. And if you manage to crit the dragon with enervate 2d4 negative levels to that puppy.
Empower it if you have the feat.

And don't Arcane tricksters get those "I want to do my sneak attack now and there is nothing you can say about it" ability. I forgot what it is called.

Just a thought.

I've been looking for spells that effectively lower the dragons chance to resisit, and found a few useful ones....
Weaken resistence which would lower his SR by 12 points...

Greater Enhance Magical Flow, gives the caster +2 to his DC checks, I believe this spell is stackable on itself, I see no where in the spell description that its not.. however that wo0uld be really powerful so I am prolly wrong, anyone know???

Soul Bend, lowers will checks by 7, I believe this can be cumulative also, but I need to lower the fort saves so i can disenegrate! hehehee.

Bestow Curse, gives -4 to all saving throws, attack rolls, ability checks, and skill checks (would be pretty useful) Perhaps the DM would let me fashion my own curse to where instead of getting -4 to attack rolls, avility checks, and skill checks, it would ONLY decrease the saving throws by a larger number. since I am taking off three other -4's, I was thinken add a neg 1 for every two negs takin away, so add a neg 6 to saving throws as well, bringing it to -10.. This prolly still wouldn't keep it balanced with the orignal curse though, so perhaps just -8.

Gimme thoughts on these and any others u come across
