How does this work? On one hand it seems to suggest you make the trip attack as normal, but doesnt seem to specify whether the hang still needs to make a melee touch attack to start the trip atttempt, and it has a reflex save negates?

I would image that you make a touch attack roll, and if it succeeds, the opponent gets a Reflex save to negate the effect by avoiding the hand. If the touch attack succeeds and the Reflex fails, then I guess it's a normal trip from then onwards. It's odd that there's a Reflex save and an 'touch attack', although the latter is never spelt out, more drawn from the fact that the spell has its own attack bonus.

Ive confirmed that the target first makes a reflex save, then the hand has to make a touch attack and all the trip rules.
