Big Fat Orcus. What's the *offical* status of his lair?

First let me revel in the knowledge that I own a book that you do not

 :) ;) :o :D  :]

I hate to burst your bubble...well, no I don't, not really, but I do own a copy of Monstrous Mythology. I just, as I said, can't locate it at the moment. It's in one of the boxes in my attic, but I'll be damned if I know which one.

Man, I thought I was the only one who dug a lot of the Palladium Fantasy bits! I loved what Bill Coffin did with that world and wish they kept him on! Dragons & Gods is a great book for general ideas though. Fantastic to see another person whose actually used bits from there.

Absolutely! Te Palladium realm has so much to offer and can be worked over to run with nearly any setting. I was thinking i was the only one in this thread that played something other than D&D.

Orcus "died" in Planes of Chaos, back in the days when demons and names like Orcus were forbidden to designers (he wasn't actually "named" when his death was described, but we all knew who the author meant).
Well, I didn't know, that was right around the time I started playing and knew little about the history of the game.

Anyway, that's in the past. I wrote ORCUS in big letters across the paragraph in that book that says something about Kiaransalee oblitering all references to his name everywhere in the universe. :)

And IMC, Kiaransalee isn't so tough anymore that Orcus is back. She's hiding out deep in Pandemonium hoping that Orcus will never ever find where she's at and come calling with his wand. :]

We need to get both of their relative power levels sorted out, and then have them in a grudge match.

Kiaransalee is either a Demigoddess (for Greyhawk) or a Lesser deity (for the Forgotten Realms).

Likewise, Orcus himself is either a Demon Lord (for Greyhawk) or a Lesser deity (for the Forgotten Realms and Ghostwalk).

As you can see, depending on which interpretation of them you take into account, a fight between them could be one-sided either way.

He was a lesser deity in FR, until the Player's Guide changed him back to just a demon prince. No deities exist in FR's Abyss, so Orcus is not a lesser deity. He was such in Faiths & Pantheons though.

Ah, I had forgotten about that little internal consistency problem. Thanks Kuje.

Grudge match? Seriously, who the hell would want to see Kiaransalee win? I imagine most D&D players would be rooting for Orcus.

Well yeah, but we'd want to see him bitch-slapping her all over the place (for 1d4 damage per slap).
