Biggest dungeon?

Well I'd say your best choice would be the Second Edition Middle Earth RPG Moria book by ICE. Unfortunately it's hard to find except on ebay , and very expensivve these days (My dumb self sold all my MERP stuff..sigh).

Jeff is right on the money here... this is EXACTLY what you're looking for and I'll bet someone on this board would be willing to sell it to you, if not hit a good sized con or go web-hunting. believe me you couuld easily have your PC's spend years in this place....

PS No, you can't have mine....

PPS look for the Durin II joke.....

Bloodymage,

I emailed you some digital pics of the maps in Axe of the Dwarvish Lords. I HIGHLY recommend that book.

I hope you have DSL or some other high speed internet, otherwise it might take a long time to download.

Loaded right up Thomas (LAN), thanks. Tha's what I'm talkin' 'bout. It's not big enough, but it sure looks dwarven! Heh. If I could combine that with some other map sets like jester47 suggested, I might be in business. Jeff and Larry both recommend Moria and quite a few have recommended Rappan Athuk which Scott, I think sarcastically, said might be taken as dwarven (sorry for my ignorance here). Those 3 might do it. I haven't actually seen Moria or RA though. Again thanks for the pics. ;)

And thanks for the ideas, creamsteak. The golems are interesting and, as you say, geothermal activity is a must. And I'm sure that in the years of their adventuring down there, the problem of lack of light will come up more often than they would like.

World's Largest Dungeon

I'm not sure if it's too late for the info, BUT, (don't know who printed it) there is a module out called THe World's Largest Dungeon. This sucker is nearly 2 inches thick, contains every monster in the book, and is designed to take characters from level 1 to level 20 and take 2 years to complete (REAL TIME, playing 1 4-6 hour session a week for two years)

THat big enough for you?

(We're in the middle of it ourselves and having a blast. We were losing a few of our players to a military transfer and we're using it to 'audition' new players. Working out marvy!)

Welcome to the boards LadyThorne. Sadly, this thread is a few years old and the original poster has not been on ENWorld for a few months.

Nonetheless, thanks for posting and it sounds like you are having a great time with The World's Largest Dungeon.

Heh, while the WLD is massive, it's not quite a dwarven mine, nor is it layered.

Wonder how this guy made out.

There's a company I see ads for in Dragon that does mind bogglingly large maps. Not Oone, but the other guys. I forget the name. Can anyone remember?

WLD is a blast though.

Well, so, the thread is from almost 4 years ago...just for kicks I'll recommend the Moria boxed set for Decipher's Lord of the Rings game. It's customizable, so you could basically make it as big as you want.

By the way, bloodymage is a regular (a mod, too, I believe) at Dragonsfoot. I PMed him about this thread being resurrected. Let's see if he can update us.

Is it the Mammoth Dungeons one? I think that's what it's called, assuming I'm thinking of the correct one.
