Seriously though- we should never forget what he did, but when you forgive your enemies you are taking away their power over you, thus you can not get mad at them or hate them- which is what they want you to do; they want you to change because of them.

Folks, I should not have to state that the moral nature of the man's deeds are not appropriate for discussion here. This thread exists for it's news content, not for discussion about whether a man should die, or the state of his soul. If people can't contain it to newslike discussion, we'll just close this and be done.

Because I have some faith and trust in my fellows. I respect folks here enough to think that, given clear warning, they can be honorable, respectful, and on-topic. If someone fails, it will be clear who, and why.

This is far preferrable to convicting everyone before the fact, far preferrable to allowing the mere mention of one man's name to alter how we do business. EN Worlders are better than that.
