I've considered the whip, but it was done pretty well with the lasher. I'm definitely doing the scythe and sickle. In fact I found some pretty cool historical stuff for both weapons.

The lance has possibilities, although i wouldn't want it to look too much like the cavelier. If I did it, I might go with the Native American angle rather than the classical knight in shining armor bit, which has been done a few times.

Lasher? Did I miss one somewhere?

Nope. The lasher is in Sword and Fist. To my knowledge, it's the only whip-based prestige class available. Hell, maybe I should do the whip. =]

Well that is not totally true, E.N. Arsenal - Whip as four of them I believe that focus on whips. And I know the hard way since a buddy of mine loves player characters with whips.

Right. I'd forgotten about those. If I end up doing anything on whips, I'll have to get that one to make sure i don't repeat what's already out there.

I'd actually like to see another take on the racial exotic weapons, as reviled as they may be. Maybe they could all be in one volume together.

One of the difficulties there is the fact that I base most or all of the abilities for the Master at Arms classes on how the weapons were actually used. I have no idea how anyone would use an orc doubleaxe or a dwarven urgrosh (sp?). :)

But the idea does have merit; I'd just need to figure out a way to present the weapons as realistically as possible.

Thanks for the input.

Oh, I know. That's sort of why I'd like to see another take on them, especially since, if as has been suggested, a few of them actually have a historical basis.

Yeah, if Icould dig up some hitorical evidence, I'd be more inclined to do a Master at Arms on these oddballs. If you know of anything, let me know.

I think I could probably make the dwarven waraxe, dwarven urgrosh, and gnome hook hammer believable even without soild historical evidence. The orc doubleaxe on the other hand... :p
