AD&D 2E Blast from the Past - AD&D 2E Core Rules 2.0 (with Expansion)

Hi guys! Just to share with you that my project is still alive! After translating the core rules i decided to expand and add other books like Wizards Spell Compendium, Monsters Compendium and more campaigns worlds (Dark Sun, Dragonlance, Spelljammer, Ravenloft etc).

We have now some little features inside the html file like:
  • A full comment system;
  • A dice roller;
  • A campaign diary to use in adventures;
  • A wikitext Cheatsheet (to create new content using tiddlywiki);
  • A tutorial how to use the html file (still in development);
  • An autocomplete feature (for writing new sections and linking);
I made some changes in the apperance to look like the original books:

Including the Optional rules!

But if we have some special rules for a scenario, the titles change to assume the book look:

This is beautiful! I wonder if it would be hard to translate it back to English? ;)
Thank you very much for your words. I'm doing this in my free time, so a future English version might take a while. But if you'd like to help with the translation, I can guide you through the process and answer any questions.

The English version would actually be much faster to create because we already have all the books in that language. All the complex formatting is already done, so it would just be a matter of copying the texts 😉

Oh man! I bet it is a pain in the bet! I was able to translate the site but it would not let me download :/ I may have to try and learn this TiddlyWiki myself and create an English version!

But yes, this is amazing work you have done!

As a side note, if you have the RTF versions of the books from the Core rules, Obsidian is an excellent bit of kit to paste the text into (in small sections, by subject) and hyperlink. I believe it has tools for making the data available via cloud/web, but I haven't tried it. It also has a database function, so with some work I bet you could get it to handle character creation and even have hyperlinks on the character sheet back to the appropriate expanded information from the rulebooks - a mini D&D Beyond for 2E, if you will.

I had an old Wiki for my homebrew world and pulled it into Obsidian and it respected the hyperlinks there, so it will probably work with Tiddlywiki too (Obsidian may even have some extensions specific to working with Tiddlywiki).
