Blast from the Past - Quark to get DVD release

No not the bartender from DS9, it was a SF parody/humor show from the late '70s. Most of you aren't old enough to remember it (or even to have ever heard of it), but it was pretty funny (at least to me at that age) and is definitely worth at least a netflicks-ing or rental. It's pretty cheap though as they only did a handful of episodes.

Due out Oct 14, 08 apparently.

I have fond memories of the show, suprised that anybody else remembers it though, it was off the air rather quickly (8 half-hour episodes according to IMBD).

Wow, finally! :)

I remember watching this when it came out ... and the massive letter writing campaign against it when they parodies The Force with "The Source". Ah, Hans Conried. :)

I actually spent years trying to find someone else who had watched this because I remembered it, but no one else did.

Thanks for the heads up.

Quark is one with Richard Benjamin as the space garbage truck driver, right? I made my poor family watch it when I was just a wee lad who had to see every TV show that had spaceships.

Hmmm, some things never change...

I read an interview once from Mel Brooks who said that the failure of his old partner Buck Henry with "Quark" tied up for several years Brooks being able to get the funding for "Spaceballs".
