I was saying that rogues can get in multiple sneak attacks on someone they flank because that person is continiously trying to deal with 2 oponents which means some times letting his gaurd down to one.
If your fighting an invisible rogue(or whatever) and no one else, once you've been attacked your probably going to focus all your attention on trying to detect them and make it harder for them to strike you again.
IMO one spell enabling a rogue to due several extra dice of damage a round with sneak attack SEEMS a tad broken..and conceptualy again I think there should be some penalties of some kind after the first attack. probably to all sneak attacks.

Obscuring Mist is a first level spell that prevents all sneak attacks in a round. And non-casters can duplicate it with a Smokestick for what, 20gp?

I personally always thought that the amount of times that a rogue can sneak attack a person in one round is insane. But then again that's one of the things that make rogues so attractive. I always liked the old backstab system better, was a lot more balanced game wise. Also most of the time if I DM, I only allow one attack a round to gain the extra sneak attack damage dice. But that is just a house rule that I use most of the time.

You think its fine, I would adjdicate penalties under some circumstances for multiple attacks on the same person if I ran(which I dont but if I did). thats fine. Here endeth the discussion on my part.

 how does Obscuring Mist eliminate sneak attacks? it'd be a bit cheaper than my Long Underwear of Fortification(heavy), that's for certain...
