ooc: If your initiative order comes up again without using the readied action, that means it's your next turn...Is that what you are saying?

OoC: Yep, I wasn't clear that this was how it works. And what I want to do on the next turn depends on whether there is a critter out there gnawing on someone or if they've all popped back into the ether.

 

[Boddynock]

When the first of the creatures reappears, Eusebius steps sideways to bring it into range and strikes. The chain flies out in an arc which swings wide of the creature, as one of the links locks awkwardly for a moment, then slips free.

The cleric mutters under his breath in a less than pious tone, then resumes his watchful stance.

Round 4 continues
Rowan, Brother E, and Talbin all miss the monster.

It completes its strike against Talbin, then disapears. Its companions flicker in and out, doing the same in the two squares to its north. All three hit. (1d20+4=15, 1d20+4=16, 1d20+4=19) Talbin loses three more points of intelligence.

Talbin staggers as the beast continue to drain him. Somewhat dizzy from the blows he shakes his head That hurts. "What are these things?" He cries out. He grips his sword firmer and stands readt to strike again, should the reappear.

Boog finally loaded his crossbow. Now he was ready! If one of the creatures attacked him, he'd give it a blast of Power. If it attacked one of the others, he'd skewer the ugly thing.[sblock=OoC: ]Readied actions: Aversion if one attacks Boog, crossbow if one attacks one of the others.[/sblock]

"Stay in formation!" shouts Rowan. "We'll get them next time they appear. Keep alert."

Rowan readies another action to whzck any beast which appears in his range and vision.

 

[Boddynock]

Eusebius is deeply concerned for his colleague's wellbeing. Talbin bears no scars, sheds no blood - but he is obviously wounded in some way. Knowing that there is nothing he can do for Talbin except try to defend him, Eusebius maintains his wariness, ready to strike out as soon as one of those ... things ... appears.

"Talbin, move back to back with Boog - it will make you less of a target."

Julianna is ready to strike.

Boog is ready to shoot at a monster or manifest a power at one, depending.

Round 5 Begins
Rowan is ready to attack.

Brother E is wary and ready to attack.

Talbin, apparently confused enough to pay no attention to shouted instructions, prepares to strike if an enemy appears... to be fair, several different people are shouting at the little rogue at the same time, which makes it a bit harder to understand.

The first monster reapears to attack Talbin in the same spot. Julianna immediately tries to smack the beast, but misses.

Readied actions are also triggered from all the other party members... roll the attacks. (For reference in making your posts, the monster's each have an AC of 17.)
