Bonded Summoner - player & DM experiences?

Ah, there is the problem, and what causes the balance issue. By skipping two skill ranks you gain abilities two levels earlier than your fellow players. As for the wiz5/bs5, he's the right power level. Your typical 10th level PC fighter* can turn a a Huge elemental (any variety) into cheese whiz.

The huge elemental is not that far behind a 10th level fighter if not equal to a 10th level fighter. And I am still a 7th level wizard. At the same time. THe getting into the summoner class still doesnt fix the imbalanced in bonded summoner. If that were dropped and I were 5th Wiz/5 Bonded Summoner, I would still have a huge elemental. We have decided to insert at 5th bonded summoner a 12HD Large Elemental, and then at 7th carry on with a 16HD Huge. Meaning at 10th Bonded summoner it will max with a greater elemental rather than an Elder Elemental. After a couple of sessions with this we are goign to re evaluate the situation.
