Only if people stop using "gish" for "fighter/mage." At least "boni," as dumb as it is, can be deciphered by a regular person. "Gish" requires a specific sort of in-the-known dorkery that's best stamped out. With a steel-toed boot.
 

You're right insofar as "gish" sucks too, but that something else sucks does not make "boni" not suck. Suck is not a zero-sum thing, unfortunately for all of us.
 


Because "boni" is actually the plural of "bono", and should only be used when talking about Sonny Bono in conjunction with Bono of U2. ;)

I never got the usage of "gish" as a generic term for fighter/mage combinations. I'll use the term, but only in the specific usage of describing multiclassed githyanki, because "gish" originated in that use in githyanki culture. It's wierd to use the term outside of their society.
