Is it a reprint with updates, as in all the info that is in the previous book is in this one, updated to 3.5?
Yes, although one "book" of this book is all new, and substantial new amounts (see reply from Pramas above) added to what was reprinted.

Oh, there's more new demons than that. I felt Armies was most in need of beefing up. Quick count shows about 20 new demons and 8 or so new devils.
Was it that many? Wow. Who wrote the new ones, by the way?

That would be me, Robert J Schwalb. I did the demons, devils, and co-wrote the daemons with Aarob Loeb, as well as half of the thaumaturge revision with Chris, and the unholy warrior 3.5 update.

This...
"In general, I'm finding that the demons, new and old, are the vilest, nastiest creatures in existence, making The Book of Vile Darkness seem more like an animated Disney movie by comparison."
...made my day :)

I can imagine! Good work!

I must say I really dig the daemons "sin" angle -- it adds a classical element to D&D fiends that was missing before.

I may just have to act on the advice of moving them to Carceri. Or figure some other way. As an old PS fan, I jus' canna live without my Arcanoloths and Ultroloths (and as an old Vault of the Drow fan, Nycoloths and Mezzoloths are indispensible as well.)

Any change made to the Thaumaturge, besides those for 3.5?

Not that I had noticed, unfortunately. Still basically a wet noodle spinoff of a cleric. (Chris has me scratching my head with his "significant revisions" comment. Guess I'll have to look closer.)

In other news, Aasimar & Tiefling arrived over lunch. I think I'm gonna like it.

In re: Thaumaturge
While idea of the class is the same, we rebuilt the engine running it.
Better Skill points and skills (I believe he gains Use Magic Device does he not?)
Better summoning abilities
And extensive reworkings of the Corruptions, just at a first glance of my file, though I'm pretty sure there are a few other things too.

As for A&T, I hope you do! ;)

Aaaaahhhh.....

Green Ronin, you fail to dissapoint me yet again.

The only sad thing is that I have already finished my Seven Sins Planescape campaign....ah, well. :)

And the Enkwell goodies are the icing on the cake. ;)
