Who would you choose?
Ari Marmell, Brian R. James, and John Rodgers would be top choices for me.
Who would you choose?
I'm a big fan of Ari's writing; he'd write a kick-ass BoVD. (Mouseferatu)Ari Marmell, Brian R. James, and John Rodgers would be top choices for me.
Kalnaur on WotC's forum said:On topic, I believe that the fluff in the recent Vecna article mentioned that the Book of Vile Darkness was written by Vecna himself, and filled with all manner of the darkest information that he could find: deals with demons and devils, necromancy, the powers of the malignant stars, and ways to breach the boundaries of the world. So if they do it right, it will be exactly the sort of book I could get behind.
I actually will keep the BoVD when I purge most of my 3E books (probably to use them as supplements for C&C henceforth), as it's got some stuff in it that I think is worth keeping, such as some of the monsters, the alternate evil human origin story and some other elements. It's better than it's counterpart book, for instance.Hmm, it seems that the 3e BoVD isn't beloved by all. Heh.![]()

Sub Demon: manes
I'd like it to be a fluffy coffee table book like The Book of Nod for Vampire: the Masquerade or Days of Fire for Demon: the Fallen that reveals a lot of evil secrets about the D&D world. I guess a combined fluff book with a does of crunch like the Dictionary of Mu for Sorcerer would be okay, too.
