Boosting skill points

Actually, that's the goal for me. I'm looking to eliminate rogue multiclassing for just skill points. If you want to be a sneaky back-stabber, that's ok, but if you're just looking to pad your skills I would rather have a different method than just grabbing a level of rogue.

I give all beings, not just PCs, +2 skp per level (every level). It's worked a treat.

I wouldn't like to increase some classes' skp and not others, personally. I think the amounts are basically balanced, and +2 per level across the board doesn't change that much, if at all.

Just my 2c.

Each gains the same amount, no one is catching up. I perfer people not having to multi class to rogue just becasue of the skill pointys. I want them to do it for concept reason, not game mechanic ones.

+4 to all classes!

Were I to boost skill points, it would either be +2 or +4. 2 skill is pretty un-useful, considering if you get hid u want move silent, u want climb u want balance, u get bluff un need sense motive.

Most skills have pairs, so boosting would be a good idea in my opinion.

But a flat bonus would be the best way to go in my opinion.

Well, not quite. An ordinal difference is not as important as a matter of scale, for skill points. For instance, let's say I gave all the classes +20 skill points because I really liked skills. Clearly, the 28 skill point Rogue isn't as special as compared to a 22 skill point Fighter as 8 would be to 2--this is like that on a smaller scale.

And I definitely respect that--you know what you set out to do, and you've implemented a good variant to help achieve that. More power to you :)
