Booting a player from your group

One of the better tests of friendship can be extrapolated from this situation.

If you feel comfortable telling someone that you think they should pull their head out of their *ss or stop playing in that particular game, then its a strong friendship. If you are talking about a valued friend, then you should talk with them before this issue destroys the friendship.

If your not particularly good friends with this person, then why the hell should it matter so much if you hurt their feelings. Good manners and socal decency are one thing, but if you cannot stand a person, but persist in prolonging the situation, you will just make things worse. People either get over this sort of thing, or they stab you in the neck.

When possible, you should make the decision clear, and the reasons for it clear. Lying about the situation can eliminate the potential conflict or arguement, but it really does not simplify matters. If you think they would be pissed off about you booting from the game, they will probably be even more pissed if you simply try to quietly push them aside without telling them why.

And if your gaming with someone who might stab you in the neck because of a disagreement over a game, both you, and the stabby lunatic need to get your heads examined.

Deliberately making the game unattractive to a player who is just a bad fit seems unnecessarily nasty, IMO.

Is the problem that she won't play anything but furries, or that she just can't shut out about furry-dom? If she's willing to put her, um, thing aside and play a normal character, why is it a problem?
