Bordell's Tales, Chapter 2: Broken Sword

"I think you may be confused, goblin." Xavier raises an eyebrow, "You would not stop us just for our weapons--they are not high quality and are too big for you--so you must be stopping us for valuables. We only travel with the clothes on our backs and have no valuables to speak of. We have also been travelling for some time and are able to fight better than most travellers you come across." Xavier draws his short sword, ready to defend himself, and hoping his companions do the same, "You have neither the reason nor the want to fight us. You best let us pass unmolested."

The goblin makes a sign and the goblins on their worgs calm there month, who stops to growl. "You know what, I'll be a good host, and let you pass through. But don't waste too much time here, I might change idea." The goblin jump on the back of one of the wolf, and they dissaper again in the wood. You also hear some steps that goes away that were hiding in teh threes, most likely more goblins ready to jump in case of a fight.

"That was wise... words can be a weapon as good as steel sometimes." adds Snow.

Xavier nods, "A fight where your enemy can choose the terms is not a good one. I did not know how many more there were, and I was lucky to scare them away." He takes a deep breath and continues on the path, "Anyway, this is not a safe area and I would rather not have to stop and rest after what wounds we may have gotten from defeating them."

You can pass over the tree without much problem as you take your time. You continue, and you see more farm. the impression of the first time become general. more farm are quiet, amybe too quiet for thsi time of the day. After half an hour, you arrive in a small village. A few locals are working or walking in the streets. they gives a quick look at your group but continue what they were doing, without even a salute. You see a small Inn where you,ll be able to rest. As the sun start to be down, you expect the night to fall in two hours, you think it might be agood idea to rest here if you want a roof over your head, as village are scarce in this part of the continent.

You leave your horse in the Inn, where no stable boy are there to help you, and you enter the Inn. The Innkeeper take amoment to look at you. "Welcome traveler. What bring you from Greenvale to this part of the land? Do you need anything?"
