Bow-wielding Druids

Didn't it have something to do with the scimitar being a 'gaint sickle'? Not that it's correct, but wasn't that the original thought?

Dunno, but then by that thought, should they also be able to use the scythe (as a farming tool) and a falchion (a 'giant' scimitar')? :)

Edit: never mind, I got too excited about Druids and 'nature' weapons.

Heck, if all the complaints are about Druids using "natural" weapons, make them unarmed only and give them a slew of unarmed feats. :)

That would make a druid-monk... You could call it a Drunk. :\

Produce Flame is a better weapon than a bow, most of the time. When you run out of fire, the elf druid can pull out a bow.

Ranged touch attack, 1d6+1/level (max +5). Hits a whole lot more often than arrows and does pretty good damage. At level 5, Empower Spell makes it 9-16 HP per hit.

If time permits, you can cast it twice and use the two-weapon fighting rules for more damage per round. Even without the Two-Weapon Fighting feat, you'll hit pretty often on a touch attack.

This tactic fades in effectiveness after level 8, where the druid is better off casting spells than using ranged weapons.

Suggestion:

Be an elf druid.

Elves get several weapon proficiencies for free, including bows.

That's what I did, anyway. It works great too.

You could also worship Mielikki, she lets druids use everything a ranger can.
