I saw Brave at the early show today in 3D and enjoyed it very much. Well worth the price of admission. Warmhearted and funny, fast-paced and clever, visually stunning and a treat for the ears as well. It's well cast with a deep bench doing the voice work. Check it out soon if you have the time.

Just echo Mark CMG's sentiments above: it's really a good movie. It's a good time, well voice-acted, genuinely funny at times. Plus, giant man-eating bear!

I saw this with my family today and everyone liked it. The second half of the movie had a slightly different feel from the first half, and I think I preferred the first half, but all in all it was a really good movie that was fun for the whole family.

Finally saw it in the uk. I loved the way that it took quite a non traditional approach to the story, with several people having to grow and change along the way - not just the notional heroine saving the day on her own

I want to take my kids to it, but they've had to leave the theater every time because the super-delux ultra speakers they have there are super loud and the kids say they "are too loud for my ears". (they're 4 1/2 y/o). They really want to see Nemo, but I think it'll only be in 3d and I'm pretty certain they won't wear the glasses the whole time.

Ah well, I'll wait until Blu-Ray.

It's good but I think they wanted to take it further. I liked that it tried something new but didn't quite push it as far as it could have. The female director they had on it, who wrote the script, supposedly has something else in mind. Some parts of the movie just felt lazy,
such as the telemarketing cauldron.

Perhaps some loosely fitting headphones would muffle the sound enough for them. You could even pick up a couple of cheap pairs from a dollar store and make a project out of fixing them up as superhero sound protection devices. :)
