Wouldn't that just be part of their heightened sense of smell? Two thirds of a shark's brain is dedicated to smell and they are excellent at detecting more than blood through smell.

Sharks also electroreception. They are prey finding machines.

I actually miss low light vision. I felt it provided a great distinction from the generic infravision and darkvision.

Same here, now that 5e simply has so many races with darkvision. It certainly wouldn't hurt to break it back up to low-light vision and darkvision again to more evenly distribute the various levels of vision between races.
