IMHO - Broadsides! is the best of the three ship based adventuring books (Seafarer's Handbook and Seas of Blood being the other two.)

Which company and who wrote it?

I haven't picked up any of the seafaring books. I'm still trying to decide on if they are worth it. Anyone have any experience using any of the three?

I can't wait to see some reviews. I'm looking forward to it Psion. I've been waiting on this product to finally buy a naval supplement, since I want to compare it to Seas of Blood and Seafarer's Handbook before I choose one. Whenever the Living Imagination guys post on this board they have the coolest quotes in their sigs.

Is it on the store shelf yet? Taren Nighteyes, what is your experience with the book? Any more details? Mini-review? What does it do that the others don't? How much overlap?

I have Seas of Blood and Seafarers Handbook. I prefer SH for nautical rules, but neither was IMO good enough to use without tweaking. (Examples: SoB added "structural" hit points which just seems unecessary; SH did not take wind speed or direction into account in its movement rules.) I spent far too much time modifying SH to my liking, and am hoping that Broadsides represents an improvement.

For those who haven't bought any of these and are trying to decide, I would definitely wait until Broadsides hits the stores.

It seems to indicate that the combat rules in Broadsides will definitely take on the tactical angle that you're looking for. That review really has me excited that this book will be the best of the three.

Wow, thank you for the praise guys.

"Broadsides!" is due in stores soon. Our breif, but difficult, printer error has been resolved, and order fulfillment from our warehouse has begun. I expect this book to appear in stores in the next week or so, but that all depends on how fast the distributors turn around and get them to retailers.

I will save any commentary on our product for the reviewers, but once again I'd like to thank those who have said good things about us (and those who haven't yet, but are about to.)
