Buffy 17 Feb 03

finally saw this episode last night *wolf thinks putting some ranks into VCR operation was a pretty good idea* and liked it ...

and kennedy needs to go, well I thought so until she got put in her place by willow ... even if it was unitentional.

Not a big Kennedy fan, myself. I don't hate the character but she doesn't have alot of charm... maybe some background story would help?

And many times she just seems to be there for no reason. I could frankly do without her, I really don't think she adds anything to the show.

Now that you mention it, she really doesn't. And if she isn't adding anything then she is taking valuable screen time away from other characters/story bits. I think that if she is going to be there that we need to know more about her besides her sexual history. Could be a great chance to see if any more of the potentials exhibit any traits that are similar and single them out as slayers-to-be.

I know she is there as someone for Willow to bounce off of and challenge her feelings/relationship with Tara but that is time better spent on having her interact more maybe Dawn or Xander. Oh well, unless she is killed off we're probably gonna see more of her over the next few eps. I'm just trying to look on the bright side and see if she could have some potential (no pun intended) entertainment value in the show.

or she could be there as the introduction to the next "Slayer" or main character in the next series. (quotation marks because Joss has said that buffy isn't going to die at the end of the season.)

haven't seen that episode or any episodes this season other than the second one, cos i live in australia and we're only two weeks in.

but i think the kennedy hatin' is probably soemthing to do with the fact that Weedon CAN"T DO BEGININGS TO SAVE HIS LIFE!!!

he dumps stuff in, then justifys it later. he's done ok with it all so far, so just give him some time, and i'm sure it will all make sense.

My opinion could change but, ick. I'll need to see some more on her character before making any final judgement but as she stands now she isn't all that terribly interesting. I am willing to give it time, but I'm just going on what I've seen so far. She's a good looking girl, but not that interesting of a character as of yet...

I must say that I liked how Kennedy was so gung-ho on Willow to use her magic, and how all-powerful she was, only to get an important lesson in life when Willow used it.

I wish they would develop the character a bit more, but they don't have the screen time to do so. I'll live.

Right now, I'm looking forward to this week's Andrew-centric episode :D

kennedy is a very simple character to me...

she is the persistent character who gets so much more time right up and until we see her killed in a particularly dramtic fashion so as to spur the others on at the key moment.

i cannot see her living thru the season or becoming the "next" and a good part of it is because she is so obviously ahead of the other slyerettes.

She has HERRING stamped across her buttocks in red paint.

In short... Kenny is gonna die... oh wait, i mean Kennedy.

:-)

I would have liked to see Kennedy go flying through a wall...it would have been a better example of Willow's power IMO, and it just would have made me happy:)
