Buffy 24 Feb 03

I doubt it. I believe there have been a couple references that have stated that it is an ancient entity, something as old as the world itself.

If it were to turn out to be the first Slayer, I would be extremely disappointed.

Nope, I have dozens of theories running through my head. Always trying to out-think Mr. Weadon, I am. ;)

Would be one heck of a twist...

She's the "leader" because she's pushy, and they're meek.

Kennedy is also (from what we know) the oldest, and one of the first recruited. In a group of teens, being the oldest counts for something (not everything, but it's pretty significant).

I seem to recall in one of the first episodes with the Slayers-in-training that Kennedy was from a rich familiy and was the only one that had a Watcher and was trained. Most of the others had no idea of their Slayer status until they were told about the first and had to come to Sunnydale to be protected from the Harbingers.

Am I remembering this wrong?

I loved the episode. Just thinking about the scene where Andrew and the boys were Gods in the field bust my gut...I really wish i had taped it so I could watch it again. After seeing Jonathan and Andrew lately, I can't help but feel that we were cheated out of some great performances when the trio was the wannabe Big Bads, because both of them have turned in some excellent performances. The end of last night's ep was really touching and sad IMO. Andrew living up to his deed...that was great. I thought the way to close the seal was pretty good and made sense. I'd give it about an 8.5/10. On to other things...
Kennedy...wow, I can't stand her. She reminds me of Electro-Girl who reminds me of Faith, and I absolutely can't stand Faith. It also doesn't help that IMO, Willow shouldn't be with anyone else yet. It just doesn't feel right.
Angel...While Angel has probably been more dramatic and suspensful this season, IMO, it has not necessarily been better. Of course, I dislike the whole Angel/Cordy love thing, and I don't necessarily care for Angelus unless he is going to be the Big Bad, which isn't likely. I do seem to be in the minority on Angel not being better than Buffy though. Oh well.

Andrew has been the first to pass the test of the new members of the "Army." Kennedy only got a taste last week when Willow shattered her reality a bit. The other potentials who were challenged are now dead. Wood is still being initiated despite all his experience. Now, Andrew (as well as the newly invigorated Spike) can be an asset to the team.

I'd say that Dawn passed, too....before Buffy even challenged them. She's been the only one doing absolutely everything she can (a list of things which is increasing at a rate which strains believability -- since when does she know Sumerian).

She passed in Potential both in fighting the vamp and the bringers, defering to Amanda when she realized that she was the actual SIT; and last episode with lots of useful research and good insights.

Actualy, I still have a pet theory that Dawn may still be a SIT, based on the fact the glow clearly illuminated her at the start. But that's another discussion.

I've been watching the discs from the first season of Angel that just came out... Is it just me, or did buffy start being a royal... uh... female dog there long before now? Every time she shows up it seems like it's to yell at Angel and complain about something or other he is doing or has done. I actualy cheered out loud in the most recent episode I watched, when Angel really told her off. Finaly someone willing to stand up to Buffy!

I'm sorry, but I just have really grown to loath Buffy (the slayer, not the show) recently.

I didn't include Dawn because she's been there for a few years and trying the whole time. I didn't think she needed a kick in the pants or any more hardening up. She was there for her mom's death, almost died herself and has been in plenty of bad situations before. The newbies haven't. :)

And while a demon offers Buffy slayer powers I just wonder if for each action there is a re-action. For the first evil, there is a first to go against it. Wess has show a number of times that demons are not just evil and that they do their own thing. The power of the slayer MAY be the balance to the first evil.

On this thought, we can say that everything is a reaction to the war between them!
