I hesitate between that and the Magic Sleeping Bag. MSB means doubling the number of hit points regained per night in magical healing. FPB means not having to track down trail rations.
cignus_pfaccari said:If you can, switch the Cloak of Resistance to the Vest. There's no cost difference, and that frees up the cloak slot, which has many more things in it than Vest does.
I'll look into it.
cignus_pfaccari said:Also, I'm kind of surprised that your DM let you buy the Belt of Magnificence. But, hey, if he lets you, it's probably the best option.
It's a bit more expensive that 6 +2 items... But it frees 5 slots.
cignus_pfaccari said:What are your advancement plans? Warmage all the way up?
Yep. Extra Edge makes this pursuit worthwile.
cignus_pfaccari said:War Wizard of Cormyr is a VERY good PrC for warmages. Arcane Devotee also provides a good lead-in, and would be kind of appropriate for your PC.
Yes, War Wizard synergize well with Warmage (not a surprise). However, I'd lose on the Extra Edge front. And could say bye-bye to Sudden Maximize. The campaign should go up to level 20, but I'm not sure it'll go on thereafter.
cignus_pfaccari said:If you went with those, you'd need to make sure and take Enlarge Spell and Widen Spell.
Not enough feats...
cignus_pfaccari said:Also, one level of spellblade is good for BAB and Save-buffing, and gives +1 casting on the first level.
Spellblade? Do you mean the Spellsword? Problem is, it requires a level of Fighter (or other). Weapon proficiency with all martial weapons can't be achieved through feats. (Not that I would want to spend feats on proficiencies anyway.)

Could be interesting, but I'm already a bit tight with feats. Current build is such:
Human Bonus: Education (to get Knowledge Religion 4 ranks at the first level)
1st: Arcane Disciple: Trade
3: Arcane Disciple: Travel
6: Extra Edge (requires Warmage 4th)
9: Weapon Focus: Ranged Attack Spells
12: Ranged Spell Specialization
Without counting the Int bonus, that gives +6 bonus to damage on every RTA spells. Suddenly, ray of frost becomes interesting. A cantrip dealing 1d3+6 damage...
I was also thinking of bringing Point Blank Shot in the mix... Yet another +1 to damage, if the target isn't too far. But that would mean renouncing to the Ranged Spell Specialization feat, which is more interesting, I think. Or taking a flaw (Unearthed Arcana), but I'm not sure the DM would allow it.
kjenks said:Arcane Preparation and Quicken Spell. Prep a Quickened magic missile and cast as Twinned magic missile in the same round for 15x (1d4+2) = 52 damage and 3x edge. Serious ouchies.
Quickened True Strike means you're probably gonna hit whatever you're aiming at.
Nah, not worth it. I don't have enough feats to afford it. And I'll pretty much only use touch attacks anyway.
kjenks said:Don't forget to pump up your Use Magic Device skill so you can activate scrolls. Check out synergy bonuses and Circlet of Persuasion (but that uses same slot as your Headband of Intellect).
Headband slot is free if I use a Belt of Magnificence. But UMD isn't a class skill for Warmage. If I wanted to have a good UMD score, I'd have to take the Able Learner feat -- same problem as before.
