Building a beguiler Zhentarim spy

Mongoose, thank you. links proved to be very handy.

werk, i don't like the idea of halfling zhentarim.

riga, what's cabinet trickster?

szilard, knowing the DM i assume that it's gonna be some kind of a detective module. social interaction will be emphasized but battles are expected too.

Cool. A beguiler will shine in that sort of a game.

The trick will being sure you have something to do while in combat. You certainly have some options - your spells give you a nice mix of battlefield control, individual-incapacitation, and mobility. Improved Feint is VERY nice for a beguiler, but unless you are going to focus on combat, it is pretty feat-intensive. (If you do want to get good at combat, you might want to consider the Mindspy prestige class - I'm not sure how well it works mechanically with Beguiler, but the idea seems cool to me.)
