Building a magic bow?!?!?!?!???

I second that Oathbow suggestion.

If you want more, add Corrosive later on or add another +1 or +2 to the Enhancement bonus.

Being able to have a +3 bow that deals double damage as long as you slay your opponent is tasty. In fact, anything multiplies your damage is tasty.

What is Sure striking? & (what book?)

I think I am looking at a quiet burst type and something that would not burn the woods down if I hit a tree. ;) And not too many add ons. But Acid burst, Holy, knockback(coool effect) , +1 mighty comp. (str. +2) might be cool. :D

Sure Striking is a +1 enchantment that allows you to bypass all DR up to -/+5. Unfortunetly, I dunno if a bow would bestow said enchantment onto its arrows.

Now, 50 +1 Arrows of Sure Striking are a handy thing for any archer to have.

Btw, Sure Striking is in S&F (I believe.)

Any class can use a bow with true strike on it. It isn't activated via spell completion or spell trigger, it's use activated. The rules for this are in the DMG and also reprinted in more detail in Tome & Blood. It's just like a wondrous item.

From sword and fist p.76
...stores the true strike spell, which the weilder can activate with a spell trigger (as with a wand).

You don't want knockback. Unless you do a lot of cliff fighting, you'd be too likely to knock opponents right out of line of sight!

Couldn't you also use it to trigger AoO for allies to take advantage of?

What game do you play?

Wrong. The Bow of True Arrows uses the spell-trigger activation method.

I'm fully aware of where the rules are. Apparently you are as well, but that won't help you if you don't pay attention and actually read the item description.

Uhmm...no.

You can certainly make a bow with true strike that uses any activation method you like, but The Bow of True Arrows has a very specific description. I suggest you read it.

Cheers. :)
