D&D 5E Building communities and ruling domains

I have this and am embarrassed to say I cannot make head nor tail of it. Is there any indication anywhere of how domain resources relate to gp in the PC's pocket?

Apart from the Companion/RC Dominion system, I think my favourite approach is OD&D "You get 10gp per inhabitant per year".

However in reality I tend to ad hoc handle net income at something like 5 sp per inhabitant per year, assuming all normal expenses covered including structures, military etc. So it's more like "Alasiya Sultanate is worth 80,000gp/year" or "Rugalov Barony is worth 5,000gp/year" - then the player gets to play with the cash, spend it on magic bling typically. :D

Edit: Just whatever you do don't use the 5e DMG system where what should be resources are actually a drain on the PC's wealth, even straightforward commercial stuff like inns! Players don't mind not getting millions of
gp in revenue (as most domain systems tend to generate) but they hate being told to cough up for the privilege of running a domain. Assume income covers routine expense, give a small bonus, and the critters are happy as hamsters on a wheel. :D

The answer is 42 of course! ;)

On page 42 of the pdf, under Privileges of Domain Leadership. Every domain turn you gain 100 gp of personal wealth per Wealth point of your domain. You can also use any of your assets as would be reasonable (gain healing from your temple, etc).

While it's for the sci-fi setting by the same author, Stars Without Number, there are videos of domain turns on YouTube. Basically the same system. Here's the one for Swan Song run by Adam Koebel (one of the creators of Dungeon World). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuECPhaEMNA Gotta warn you though, it's not the most engaging thing on TV. ;)

Speaking of Stars Without Number, I believe that the free version has a slimmed down version of the domain rules, in case anyone is curious.

Mind sharing, even rough notes? I'm looking for something similar...
Bmm

Okay, though I warn you it's really rough, and wasn't written to be explicable to anyone but me. ;)

Also, it's specifically for the purposes of (re)building an Underdark community (abandoned dwarven city), so the mods and options are geared toward that.

Also also, it bears no resemblance to any sort of economic or military reality. I wanted ease and simplicity above realism.
