Bull Rush Questions

I searched this forum and found a few threads but none of them seemed to have an answer about what happens in the following situations:

1) Can you Bull Rush an opponent into an occupied square? If so what happens?

2) Can you Bull Rush an opponent into a square containing an object (Wall, Statue etc) ? If so what happens?

You can attempt to bull rush someone wherever you want. The outcome might not be what you expect, however. Per RAW, the creature you bull rush cannot be forced into an illegal space. They end up in the last legal space, and consequently so do you. So, the outcome might actually be no movement, or less movement than you think.

Houserule:
I houserule the creature bullrushed to become prone in a legal square (still no movement, but now there's an actual downside).

Just because I know I will be asked, where in the RAW is that spelled out?
Per the SRD, it's under Accidentally Ending Movement in an Illegal Space: "Sometimes a character ends its movement while moving through a space where it’s not allowed to stop. When that happens, put your miniature in the last legal position you occupied, or the closest legal position, if there’s a legal position that’s closer."

There's also the quote that mentions if you get pushed back into a square that's occupied you fall prone in the square. That's how I handle bullrushing someone into a wall or another person.
