Bullywugs are savage frogmen who live in any swampy and murky area. Their feet are webbed, their faces resemble a frogs with a wide mouth and bulbous eyes. They rarely wear clothing but armor is uncommon. Bullywugs speak their own language, the intelligent ones pick up Aquan, Sylvan, or Infernal. The average bullywug is smaller than a human, about the size of a halfling.
Combat
Amphibious: A Bullywug can survive on land and in water.
Hop (Ex): A Bullywug can hop 30 feet straight up, coming down on an opponent with great force. Using hop does allow an attack of opportunity. When coming down on an opponent the Bullywug gains a +2 bonus to hit, in addition when using any weapon that can be used in a charge will deal double damage. This is particularly devastating when used with their chameleon ability.
Dry Out: A Bullywug must immerse itself in water once per day or suffer dehydration.
Skills
Bullywugs receive a +4 racial bonus to hide and a +8 racial bonus to Jump and Swim; in swampy settings this bonus improves to +8 due to their chameleon like ability.
Bullywug Society
Bullywugs live in semi-organized communities that are often slightly mobile. They respect no one but those stronger than they are. Bullywug colonies disrupt the natural environment of any land. They will eat off the land until their immense gullets are filled and then they move on.
Bullywug colonies are often ruled by smarter, larger, and stronger Bullywugs known as the Advanced. Though the Advanced are quite hated by their smaller cousins they do rule over them with an iron fist due to their power and intelligence. Leaders are eventually eaten by the next ruler, and life goes on for the bugbears. There is rarely any infighting, most outsiders chalk it up to a lack of intelligence.
Organized groups of invaders usually conquer a bullywug colony easily, they do not deal with incursions very efficiently. When the bullywugs can manage they attack, kill, and eat the invaders.
Bullywug Characters
The few Bullywugs that take up character classes favor fighters. Bullywug clerics worship Ramenos, a sleeping god of the Bullywug. Ramenos gives his faithful access to the Chaos, Evil, Strength, and Water domains.
Advanced Bullywug coming soon.
