Similarly, it's not worth a trip to the bahamas for me to be imprisoned by high-presure time-share-condo sales persons.

Those folks are easy to handle.

"Let me interrupt for a second, please. I am not interested in the time share. I am not going to purchase anything you have to offer. I only came here for the free trip. I am now going snorkeling. Have a nice day."

My new core books just got paid for without even a test drive. I just got handed $200 bucks to let a TV crew park their truck and generator in front of my house! :D

'Course, the spousal unit might have other plans for that windfall ...

Being 14 rocked....I could game whenever I wanted, and I could hit on high school girls without getting arrested. :)

That's the great thing about high school girls. You keep getting older and they stay the same age. ;)

To bad they don't do anything like that around here. And VW aren't that bad. I had a Golf for over 3 years (it was my first car). Of course, that was one of the old ones, from back when it was a budget car...

I really don't think it's right to go there and waste the dealer's time, money, and energy when you have absolutely no intention of buying the car, and are just there for the gift certificate...

It's not a waste of their time, that's what they are there for. My fiance & I go and test drive cars all the time for fun. If you are up front about it, 99% of the time, the dealers are happy to have you test drive cars even if you are not buying. If you like the car, chances are you will tell someone else about it and they might buy it. Or, if they treat you well when you aren't car shopping, you are more likely to go back when you are buying. Thats one of the ways I ended up deciding on the car I bought last year, because the dealer treated me very well when I told him we were only looking, not buying.

I'll definitly be going and driving a Passat for this. Thanks for the heads up!
