I already have Savage Species and I'm fine with it so far.

I also plan on purchasing the Fiend Folio, although I'm not so certain I'll have a lot of use for it. I'm really curious to see how they expand on the Fiends, of which I think there are too many of right now, particularly due to the fantastic releases from Green Ronin and the "nostalgic" stuff from Necromancer Games.

As for Arms and Equipment, I'll buy it but I won't be in a rush to own it. This is really for those people who want a very rich, very thorough presentation of such material and I'm not one of those people. I think both the PH and DMG provide more than enough stuff, not to mention the various splatbooks. Furthermore, why is this a hardcover and not a splatbook? Finally, I fear that what this will be is a lot of reprinted material in a vein similar to MMII. That's why I'll take my time with this one.

As for the two FR titles, it's funny... I hardly ever play FR, but I do enjoy reading the gaming material. An irony, I suppose, since I've little more than contempt for their fiction series to date. But, I do plan on buying both resources, and both within a week after they're available. Go figure.

So, in response to the poll, I'll be buying all five!

I don't care for the WotC 3e flavor, so I won't buy any of these. I hope that Kenzer's Equipment Guide will come out though, since I would be very interested in that instead of the A&EG...

it's interesting to me that savage species has been voted for more than anything else. maybe you're all like me: say you won't buy it, but when the time comes, you get it anyway.

It's not funny... 3e FR stuff is well done. It's more powerful than your average DnD stuff sure, but it's good stuff mostly. Magic of Faerun probably gets more use than any other non-core 3e book in my campaign.

You know, I want to say "None" but everyone keeps on raving about Savage Species. Is it really that good? Would it be at all useful for a wacky place like Barsoom?

I don't want monster PCs and I thought this was a book about that -- playing monsters as PCs. That doesn't sound very useful and I'm surprised everyone's all "Woo hoo!" about this.

Arms & Equipment sounds really twinkish to me -- again, though, people seem pretty excited about the whole thing.

Is it just me? Or is it just you?

"None of the above"

but not because I don't want them. I've spent too much on RPG's (blasphemy, I know:( ) that I don't get much use out of. It's time to let my players invest some money if they really want some of them options.

Although The Unapproachable East doesn't really interest me.

twinkish? say what? you mean munchkiny? cos vehicle rules and rules for mounts etc. don't sound munchkiny to me, they sound useful!

It's cool.

Really, that's what it boils down to. It gives you options galore, and new toys to play with. It's like OA, in that I know I'll never play almost anything in there, but some things are just really cool. Really, it's just NEAT.

Now that I saw the preveiw for A&EG, I'm not that frantic for it. But having new toys is cool (notice a trend?), and it's at the very least useful for putting lots of stuff that was in adventures, Dragon articles, etc. together in one place. It's probably going to be more immediately useful than SS, though.
