Bye Monte!

. But there are other areas I'd like to explore creatively. And in the last year or so, various doors have begun to open that have made some of my other goals suddenly a lot more attainable.

So I have focused on those other goals for most of 2006, and I am going to continue to focus on them. Malhavoc Press and virtually all game-related work is going on the back burner for me.

Hmmm. Very cryptic, Mr Cook, very cryptic.

Very well. I will thus assume that Mr Cook has been offered a place amonst the Illuminati and will be taking over as one of the Secret Overlords of the World. Henceforth, all military units on Earth will be forced to move only during their initiative, use Attack of Opportunity rules and conform to the hex grid system of movement. I, for one, greet our new Cookian Overlord and pledge my loyalty and support. Hail Monte!

[douglas adams]And thanks for all the great games![/douglas adams]

More personally, thanks for making 3rd edition the great game that it is. Thanks for taking the time to review A Magical Medieval Society: Western Europe. Both me and Suzi owe a lot to your kind words and we won't forget them.

Good luck, Sir, with your next endevours!

Good for him. After publishing your homebrew in about as lush a format as possible, anything else would have to be a letdown. It's a great opportunity to move in a new direction, and he's not closing any doors or burning any bridges. If he isn't living the American dream, it's pretty damn close.

Good luck, Monte.

Earlier this year I got an offer to work on something so cool that I couldn't say no. But it's not a Malhavoc product, and so I'm not at liberty to announce it here. That comes out next year.
What's so darn kewl that monte absolutely has to work on it...

Seeing how mr. cook is jumping out of the D20 business, i'm guessing 4e. But to be honest i couldn't see that as being so increadibly kewl, unless of course he got carte blanche...

I'm sad to see monte go, i was kind of hoping of extended support for Ptolus (adventure wise, maybe a novel or two)...
