I have the distinct feeling that everyone missed the reading between the lines. He said he getting out of writing for games - 4e probably isn't it. He said he left WotC to write fiction - I'm guessing that he finally sold one of his manuscripts and is now under a deadline to start hacking out chapters.

Whatever the case is, I hope that you are successful in any of your endeavors. You are a strong voice and advocate for RPGs and anyone of your caliber stepping out is a great blow to the industry as a whole. Good luck and God speed!
