Calculating Magic Item Prices?

First Post
I'm a little confused about calculating the prices for magic items. My DM wasn't around, so I've been trying to figure it out for a while now. I have 2 weapons I want to know the price of. A Flaming Falchion +1 and a Keen Throwing Returning Falchion +1. Now, from what I can figure, I get the price of a masterwork falchion (375) first. Then, I use the formula bonus^2 * 2000. Now, if I'm right, keen, throwing, returning and flaming are all treated as +1 bonuses. Does this mean that the Keen Throwing Returning Flahcion +1 is worth 50375gp (375 + 5^2 (total of the bonuses added then squared) * 2000) and the Flaming Falchion +1 8375gp (375 + 2^2 * 2000)? Or have I got things completely wrong?

No, he has not.

That depends. Look at his formula here...(emphasis mine)

When he priced the more expensive one, he included all four enhancements mentioned. So, either he included one to many in his formula, or he accidentally left out one of the enhancements in the name for the first weapon. I thought he did the later, so it appeared his formula was correct but he just forgot to mention the flaming enhancement.

As a side note, is there any particular reason you're rolling your eyes?

No, he asked if all those 4 enhancements were +1 bonuses and yes they are. Then he listed two separate weapons, one having 3 of those enhancements, the other having the last of them. Do you see it now ?

I see both...still. I just assumed it was the latter because his formula is correct for all four of the enhancements.

EDIT: Also, he didn't ask if those four enhancements were +1 bonuses.

Correct, he did not ask it. He stated it. And he was correct.

But how you can see both is beyond me, then again so many things are ;)

EDIT: Let us make the poster clear up what he meant before we embark on one of our pointless discussions.

Sorry peoples, my mistake. I accidently threw flaming into the keen throwing returning falchion +1 when I calculated the price. It looks like my reasoning was sound, but I made a small error. Just to clear things up, I do have 2 seperate weapons I want to price

1) Flaming Falchion +1
2) Keen Throwing Returning Falchion +1

Thanks to you all (and I really do mean that, thank you :)) I now know that the first listed above is worth 8375gp and the second is worth 32375gp.

Actually the Flaming Falchion +2 is worth 18,375 gp. The price for the second one is correct.
