Campaign ends in 4 sessions what do you do?

Crothian

First Post
I've been running a campaign for a while now and it's going to come to an end in 4 sessions. One of the players has to drop out for work reasons and we are not going to continue the current campaign with out him. So, as the DM what would you do if sudden you had to end the campaign in 4 sessions? Would you end with a big bang? Continue as usual and see what the PCs acan do? Ease up on the story to give everyone a happy ending? Blow up the world?

Create a finale pursuant to their level that also leaves you open to restart the campaign sometime in the future should the opportunity present itself.

Nightfall, I'm so disappointed. Surely you meant to say, "Four sessions? Heck, just toss it and buy some Scarred Lands books for your NEXT campaign!"

:D

Next thing you know, diaglo'll be coming in here without a mention of OD&D. And then the world will end.

No doubt, in four sessions, proving that we're all just NPCs in Crothian's campaign.

Crothy is kind of a convert. Besides I figure if he asks for a new setting, he knows which one I'll suggest. ;) Not to mention I'll prostylize a little later.

[Subliminal messaging] BUY MORE SCARRED LANDS BOOKS!![/Subliminal messaging]

If you're a prostylizer, does that mean you can't enter the Style Olympics?

*considers wandering aimlessly to game store and buying more Scarred Lands books... unsure why... *

Crothian,

Maybe give us a synopsis of what's going on right now and we could offer some more specific suggestions...?
