I am looking at the 4E combat tracker but while it has a lot more ability than Masterplan in terms of tracking combat, but I don't want to use two combat trackers. Also, it can't do a map, which I do use, for combat. (I don't think we need a map but it does help.) However, it's very slick and if I didn't use Masterplan, I could see me using this. (I am hoping he adds the ability to add monsters automatically with a DDI subscription.)

Mortaneus actually has added this feature some version ago. Use the Copy as Rich Text from the Monster Builder and use the Paste command from the Combat Tracker's Stat Library, et voila! the complete monster info is in the tracker.

Import from the Character Builder works as well, but yields only the powers' names. As PC info persists, I've just added this stuff via c&p.

I apologize for my misrepresentation and not being clear in my communication.

I know that it can take the RTF export to import into it. What I am hoping for is a way for it to pull from the compendium, and not pull in duplicates, rather than me having to input monsters one at a time. I know it probably just makes me lazy but loading a hundred monsters that I use as a base plus any more is time I can spend on something else.

However, I do agree his import feature works well and as I create monsters in the Builder, it's easy to push them to the 4E combat manager.

Not really. The only thing that qualifies are my campaign wikis, I guess. Wikispaces.com and pbwiki.com are both free wiki sites that I've seen used effectively. Wikispaces is what I mostly use, just because that's where I set up my account first.

But I'm still mostly an "analog" guy when it comes to this kinda stuff.

My campaign wiki, Le Ballet de l'Acier, is on Obsidian Portal, and I'm very happy with the site so far. I especially like that I can link wiki pages directly to a map. Each page includes a private section for the referee's notes, so I can keep all my stuff on the wiki and cross reference it without the players seeing it.

if you look at my last post the Master Plan program lets you down load the DDI data base directly to your computer (you do need a ddi membership for it to work)
