Campaigns in a Box?

so many to choose from...

what are the players likely to play? how many? classes? races? urban or wilderness?

off the top of my head i'd recommend the Grey boxed set by Ed Greenwood. :D

All,

Thanks for the suggestions.

Diaglo, classes are an open question, though I'm toying with the idea of eliminating the base classes from the PHB and allowing only the alternate base classes from the various complete books.

I always prefer something set in an urban environment because it allows us to easily "bench" a PC if the player is absent, but keep the PC in close geographic proximity to the action for a return the next session.

Ptolus is what you want then. read the story hour in my sig. Olgar Shiverstone, the DM, set us up in the Forgotten Realms using the Banewarrens ... and changed out Ptolus with Tilverton.

another possible Monte Cook take would be Iron Heroes. starting the campaign with Dark Harbor. even use the Battle box by Fiery Dragon if you like counters and such.
