AD&D 2E Can anyone give me a rundown on Red Steel and other obscure D&D settings not mentioned in this video?

OK. It was huge, tons of sourcebooks, and it coordinated with the novels and was really big on expanding the Star Wars universe lore. It had sourcebooks on the Thrawn trilogy of novels for example.

There were also old now out of print licensed RPGs from various publishers for Star Trek, Babylon Five, Judge Dredd, Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, Hercules and Xena, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and Angel), Army of Darkness, Men in Black, Supernatural, Leverage, Firefly, Marvel Super Heroes, DC Heroes, Indiana Jones, Conan, Wheel of Time, Streetfighter, and James Bond.

There was a Dallas RPG (the 80s oil tycoon soap opera).

You can still get PDFs for the Labyrinth, My Little Pony, Stargate, and Farscape RPGs.

I am sure there are others I am not thinking of.

Was there a ghostbusters RPG?
How was the Star Trek game?

My apologies! My knowledge of TTRPGs is rather low. Never even heard of WEG Star Wars till recently.

I thought the current Star Wars RPG was the same one as what it was back then!
No problems! WEG Star Wars is an important and influential RPG . . . from decades ago. Us old timers might raise an eyebrow at your use of "obscure", but for not-old RPG fans, yeah, sure, it's obscure.

Yes, I am still rather young and did a Pathfinder game, Star Wars RPG game, and 13th Age game so I have gotten through three games in total, the last two more recently.

Yeah, I don't mean to piss anyone off. 😅

But honestly, I talked to someone not too long ago that spoke of WEG Star Wars rather reverently so there's that.

I might be interested, though the A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying tabletop RPG may be something I have my eye on (A Song of Ice and Fire > Game of Thrones, imho; I just prefer the books over the show).

Also, damn, aside from Lancer, I may need some queer-friendly RPGs but this may not be the thread for that.

Thanks for all the responses, everyone! I have been sick a lot these past six days but I came back here and found that I got a lot of replies so that's neat. Gonna probably look through them tomorrow since it's late where I am here in Virgina.
