You could throw up a contingency "if i'm about to be attacked by someone in my party tport me the F*** home." I think this would be a nice defence (if that's specific enough for your GM) against being attacked in your sleep, or anytime there is a inter-party thing going on.

I would think that you would need a metamagic feat to do something like that. Is there anything like? It would be more powerful than delayed spell. (I think it should count against your spells per day untill it goes off) so that you couldn't just soup yourself up for weeks. Why not just use the alarm spell to wake you up and then you could teleport away. of course you might be dead by then

DiFier, are you talking about TreeFrog's suggestion? If so, you certainly don't need a feat, nor does it require you give up a spell slot. What TreeFrog's suggested is what Contingency is for. And Contingency is one spell I've yet to see accused of being overpowered.

I didn't recognize contingincy as a spell.

I was posting from work (no books) and since my highest level charachter for 3e (out of 2) is only an 8th level caster right now I wasn't familiar with the spell.

Treefrog, that is a really good idea. I like that spell. makes the metamagic feat I proposed unnessecary. Too bad my charachter can't cast it yet. oh well only about 2,000 xp to teleport.
