Can someone tell me about this "Miniatures Handbook"?

I have a healer with the Augment Healing feat. Cure minor wounds heals 5 hp, cure light wounds heals 1d8+9 hp, and cure moderate wounds heals 2d8+11 hp. Now all I need is a feat that is the Healer's equivalent to Extra Edge (increasing hp curing amounts by +1+1/4 healer level)... Mwahahaha!

Furthermore, once you get to cast healing spells without provoking AoOs, you can become much more efficient than a cleric.
 

I think the book is a great DMs book, with also some options that might be useful for players. I love the War Hulk as an NPC for Ogres or Giants, but I don't know about that as a PC prestige class. The Core Classes also provide some interesting options for NPCs. Th emonster section has lots of great stuff. Finally, you have a set of mass-combat rules that could be useful if the PCs become involved in a small battle (say 50 on each side or so).
 




The healer gets sold short by many. With its emphasis on having a good Charisma and its class skill list, it is actually a "face-man" class of sorts, like the bard. Very useful. I would have liked to have seen it called "empath" or something else a little more evocative than "healer", but I guess the designers were going for utilitarianism.

Then again, there are some design problems. The fact that it doesn't cast any spells sponstaneously--including cures--is a big turn-off, as are the armor restrictions. Also, the spell list really should account for adding in spells from other sourcebooks (like the warmage does with its advanced learning ability).
