Phantasy Star II and Shining in the Darkness were amazing. Phantasy Star III had a great concept (multi-generational, with marriage choices), but the end story felt weak IMO.Such games have been around since at least 1993.

XCom relies a lot on ranged weapons/cover, which wouldn't really adapt well to D&D.I want one based on the Xcom game.
Sometimes I feel like the only person who loved Phantasy Star III. Loved the music, played through it 4 times to see each ending.Phantasy Star II and Shining in the Darkness were amazing. Same! I was big into the two Final Fantasy Tactics Advance games (I got over 100 hours logged in the first one!) and I think it’s why O enjoyed 4e a lot.During all of 4e's run, I was waiting for a DnD tactics video game and I was a little sad it never showed.
